A Southern Seed Story

Golden Acres Genetics, Ltd. formed in 1999 to focus specifically on serving the needs of Southern farmers.  By revitalizing the flagship Golden Acres brand of high-quality, southern corn and sorghum seed, founders Lou Buice and Bernard Selensky were able to connect the respected fifty-year-old brand with a new mission -  to professionally serve Southern farmers with custom seed solutions.

Our corn lineup includes Roundup Ready, double-and triple-stacks with YieldGard and Herculex traits- as well new Genuity VT Triple PRO the most-advanced combination of these proven technologies available in the South.  Our sorghum hybrids have the best ratings for drought tolerance, test weight, disease resistance, and yield.  Plus, our optional seed treatments offer you an even greater reward for managing the pressure from key Southern insects.
